On October 19th, Xiaomi officially announced a collaboration with Walt Disney (China) to bring beloved character imagery to its theme platform. This partnership marks the debut of exclusive Disney-themed mobile phone backgrounds in the domestic personalized theme market, enriching the MIUI ecosystem and offering users more creative and engaging options.
The collaboration focuses on developing custom themes based on Disney’s four major brands: Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars. The first batch includes iconic characters such as Mickey Mouse, Elsa from Frozen, Super Marines (Dabai), Pirates of the Caribbean, Racing Story, Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man, and many others. These visually stunning themes are now available in the Xiaomi Theme Store.
Users can explore the Disney-themed section within the personalization store, browsing and downloading their favorite designs. In addition, there are special in-app activities where users can collect 17 image cards across designated areas. Collecting all 100% of the cards unlocks exclusive rewards like Disney-themed cameras, Marvel limited edition items, Xiaomi MIX 2, Xiaomi 5X, and Xiaomi AI speakers.
Since its launch in 2011, the Xiaomi Theme Store has grown significantly. It now hosts over 82,000 themes, including 36,000 free ones, with more than 40% of the collection being free. There are over 8,500 active designers, including 530 professional teams, making it one of the most vibrant content ecosystems in the industry.
Beyond just aesthetics, Xiaomi has consistently partnered with animation studios, film companies, and game developers. Previous collaborations include themes inspired by the movie *Your Name*, the anime *Doraemon* and *The King*, the TV series *Old Nine Gates*, and the variety show *Where Are We Going, Dad?*.
