Lenovo Group Ltd. (LNVGY, Lenovo Group) is focusing on emerging markets as a key growth driver amid slowing demand for PCs and smartphones. In a recent interview with the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, CEO Yang Yuanqing highlighted that the company still sees strong potential in most developing economies.
As the world's largest PC supplier by shipments, Lenovo continues to navigate challenges in both the global PC market and the Chinese smartphone sector. The company has been integrating its acquisitions, including Motorola Mobility’s smartphone division and IBM’s low-end server business, to strengthen its market position.
Yang Yuanqing emphasized that even with China’s economic slowdown, regions like India, the Middle East, and Africa offer significant opportunities. He remains optimistic about long-term growth in these areas and plans to leverage the Motorola brand to expand into the U.S. smartphone market. A new, more innovative device for American consumers is expected to launch in July.
While PC sales have declined due to shifting consumer preferences toward smaller devices, Lenovo believes that users in emerging markets will eventually transition to personal computers. According to IDC, PC sales hit their lowest point since 2007 in Q4 2015—just a few years after Apple launched the iPhone. Yang Yuanqing argues that as smartphone users grow more demanding, they will seek out more powerful and feature-rich devices, which will lead them to PCs in the future.

HP series High power high-voltage power supply is the first generation high-power HVPS designed by iDealTek-Electronics, adopting the standard 19-inch chassis structure to facilitate the integrated installation of high-voltage systems. The internal module redundancy technology and perfect protection circuit ensure the excellent reliability of the power supply under high-voltage and high-power output.
