TDK launches new EPCOS film capacitors: miniaturized MKP series

The EPCOS MKP B3267*P* series from the TDK Group is a compact film capacitor designed for high-performance applications. With a capacitance of 1 microfarad and a nominal DC voltage rating of 450 volts, this series delivers exceptional capacitance density in an ultra-small package. The lead pitch is only 10 mm, and the overall dimensions are just 8.0 x 17.5 x 13.0 mm³. Compared to earlier models with a 15 mm lead spacing, this new design reduces the volume by approximately 40%, making it ideal for space-constrained designs.

This product line offers three different lead spacings: 10 mm, 15 mm, and 22.5 mm. It supports rated DC voltages of 450 V, 520 V, and 630 V, with capacitance values ranging from 68 nF to 2.2 µF. These capacitors are suitable for continuous operation at temperatures up to 125°C. The plastic housing meets UL 94 V-0 standards and is available in halogen-free options upon request, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

These capacitors are widely used in various applications, including ballasts, passive power factor correction circuits in LED power supplies, switching power supplies, and output filtering. Their small size and high performance make them a preferred choice for modern electronics where space and efficiency are critical factors.
