# Sun single contest # suspected of the price start? Microsoft Microsoft Sculpt wireless comfort desktop mouse and keyboard set out of the box

The landlord is currently offering the keyboard along with the Logitech G710+ with green switches and the G900, but it's said that the daily use is sufficient. However, why buy this one? Because of the incredible price I stumbled upon.

One day, a post went viral (though it's now rebranded as @friend, I'm used to it). This link was shared in the group: "Great deal, fast delivery!" It had thousands of users and the highest rating on the site. The article’s popularity made me jump in without hesitation. I placed the order and, luckily, didn't need to use my Amazon gift card.

Orders from Amazon can be quite tricky, so I had to blur some details. In short, this set started at 289 yuan with an inexplicable discount.

Naturally, I assumed this price must have been a mistake or a scam. So I posted on JD.com to check if it was real:

Then I was surprised when Amazon didn’t cancel the order and actually shipped it out. I decided to go ahead and take it.

Here's the unboxing:

A small keyboard came in a huge box. I thought there must be a special box for keyboards, but the box wasn’t that long. When I opened it, everything was intact and still new. The production date was April 2017.

The front of the box clearly states that it's a best-selling ergonomic keyboard. But does it really live up to that? Looking at JD.com, the number of reviews isn’t very high. I suspect it might be an overstock product that Amazon couldn’t sell and decided to clear out.

The back of the box lists several selling points. There are seven in total. Honestly, it's been a while since I bought anything from Microsoft. Did 360 even count?

The box was sealed with four pieces of transparent tape, and the keyboard and mouse were protected by foam inside. The layout was very simple.

The mouse already had its battery installed, and the keyboard had a battery slot underneath. There was also a USB wireless receiver included.

Take a look at this receiver... Seriously, for 2017, this is a bit outdated. The G900 looked at it with disdain, laughing and not saying a word.

In the middle, there were five warranty cards and manuals.

Let’s take a look at the mouse. Its official name is: “Microsoft (Sculpt Comfortable Sliding Bluetooth Mouse).”

Honestly, this mouse doesn’t have any standout design features. In recent years, apart from the Arc Touch series, Microsoft mice haven’t had much eye-catching designs. The biggest selling point, I think, is the so-called “Blue Shadow” technology.

The entire mouse feels soft, but compared to other Sculpt ergonomic models, it’s not as sleek or attractive. The mirrored design on the back is definitely a fingerprint magnet and will quickly lose its shine. The mouse feels a bit wobbly, and the texture isn’t as solid as expected.

From all angles:

Now looking at the keyboard again, Microsoft is proud of its ergonomic design.

The battery compartment uses two AA batteries.

The stand is different from other keyboards. Instead of being on the screen side, it's on the near side, which increases the height of the hand rest. I think many people may not adapt to this right away. Whether it's truly “comfortable” remains to be seen.

The bottom has the product label.

Keyboard switches?

The key layout is wavy from the front.

From a 3D perspective, there's a dome-shaped bump in the middle of the keyboard.

The hand rest is detachable, with a PU texture and built-in sponge, giving it some flexibility.

The keycaps are mostly membrane-style, but the craftsmanship is sleek and detailed, with some keys engraved on the sides.

The keyboard isn’t too thick or heavy. However, as an ergonomic keyboard, its design isn’t particularly eye-catching. The separate space bar and backspace key are unique, though.

From this angle, the height differences are more obvious.

Finally, here’s the full set of keyboard and mouse. Thank you for watching. Honestly, if it wasn’t such a low price, I wouldn’t have considered buying it at the regular price of 600 yuan. I think we should all keep that in mind — this package is pretty flat in design, maybe more suitable for office environments rather than home use. For a gamer or a casual user, the value-for-money isn’t great.
