Fuji "Spirit Machine" is not very popular, unique, and rare. It was a product of a unique era and is now considered a predecessor of Pivi's portable digital camera. It was released in 1999, only in Japan, with a Japanese-only menu. It had a 7.6mm f3.2 Fujinon lens (equivalent to 135 system), a 2-megapixel digital body, and an Instax mini film slot. You can read JPG files on the SM memory card and print them on Instax photo paper. This idea was really genius—it built the Instax film output system into a digital camera. You can take photos, set shooting modes, adjust EV, self-timer, flash, close-up, white balance, and more—all features found in modern digital cameras. It uses AA batteries and is power-hungry. The memory card is a SMARTMEDIA (SM) card, an old type that is rare and expensive, reaching only 128MB.
