# Photo Stories # Those Reluctant to Delete Photos

When you're still using an iPhone 8, iPhone 7, or iPhone 6s, it's hard to justify buying an app just to upload original content. But I also think about those who use older models like the iPhone 6, iPhone 5, or even the iPhone 4s. They can't afford a new phone, or they're too scared to update their iOS. Even if they want to earn gold coins by sharing original work, they never get the chance. This is the first photo that can’t be deleted. It’s from that year when my 4S wouldn’t update to a newer iOS version, and as a result, it became extremely slow. I bought the iPhone 6 with iOS 8.3 and never upgraded, just to keep it running smoothly. But now, the system is still outdated. I saved this picture as a reminder of what I need to do—when I have the money, I must buy an iPhone X. (As for how this post was made, well, the LD’s phone was used quietly.) Just pay 6 yuan to go home... The picture is getting worse... This photo was taken on September 14th at an unknown beach in Xiamen. After 14 years of marriage, we decided to take a honeymoon. But we didn’t plan well, had only a few days of leave, and didn’t prepare a passport. So we ended up going to Xiamen instead. In September, it was still very hot, and there were no swimsuits on the beach. As a mainland Chinese person, our idea of fun was taking pictures. We didn’t have time to take many, so I just put on my sunglasses and sat there. The LD wrote these words, and the sadness and hardship are clearly visible (please ignore the LD’s sandals in the photo). This photo was taken during the Spring Festival of 2017, when Ma Yunjia was participating in the Five Blessings activities. At that time, every day I had to wake up early to open Alipay Lucky Draw and pump it for the LD. If I couldn’t ask a friend, I had to send it to someone busy. On New Year’s Eve, we finally gathered to play the lottery. I sent the first one to the LD that night, and got two more. Then I opened my own blessing, and I couldn’t believe my eyes—it was 666! I posted it on WeChat Moments to show off, and everyone sent me red envelopes. Some people said it was fake, but I quickly laughed it off. This photo has been kept on my phone ever since, just for good luck. This photo was taken on a weekend afternoon when we took the baby to the mall for shopping. There was a fountain at the entrance, and I snapped a shot of the little guy. He wasn’t very cooperative, so I switched to continuous shooting mode. Haha, I left this one, and whenever I see it, I laugh. This photo was taken at the entrance of a school gymnasium. Due to work, I had more free time. I took the baby out for a walk during my break and stumbled upon this place. That day, I also read a tutorial on making inverted photos. I always wanted to try it, and it even rained a little. I suddenly told the LD to take this shot. Looking back, if both legs were bent, it might have looked more natural. This photo was taken with a 700D plus 18-55 STM lens. Before that, my camera was basically collecting dust. After the birth of the baby, I replaced the second spring, started learning photography through tutorials, and it felt like I had just stepped into the world of photography. (Of course, your money pays for it, haha.) I thought backlit photos weren’t great, but after learning, I tried taking a backlit shot of the baby. The light outlined the shape, and if the aperture was larger, the background would blur nicely. I really wanted that sharp focus and creamy bokeh effect. Well, money definitely buys better shots. This photo was taken with a card machine in Xiamen. My wife helped with the post-processing. Now, I think using a tripod and an SLR would have been better. In fact, this split shot is still quite good. As long as you have a bit of basic Photoshop skills, it's easy to complete. I taught myself Photoshop and did a lot of similar edits later, but this was my first memory.
