Fault: The power light flashes red, but the TV doesn’t boot. According to the user, it has been used for a long time and recently started having issues. It stopped working completely one day. After checking, I found that the high-voltage cap was ruptured and there were burn marks on the outer casing. I’m not sure if the flyback transformer or the field transistor was also damaged. There are several cold solder joints, but this is the first time the user has reported the issue. After a quick inspection, I gave the user a rough quote, and since he’s nearby, I quoted him three reds. He agreed to repair it immediately! That's always exciting when a customer trusts you right away. I made an appointment with him three days later, and he readily accepted. Alright, let’s get started.

The local store didn't have the part, so I had to go to Ma Yunjia to find it. I communicated again with the user and placed the order. However, it was November 11th, 2015, and the delivery arrived just in time. The courier was excellent and reliable. I packed up my current work and took the bag to the shop!

What surprised me was that both the block and the field block were in good condition. The surrounding components and lines looked fine too, but I still needed to be cautious. After checking the voltage levels, they were stable. When I powered it on, *whoosh*—I felt a wave of happiness. The sound came back, and everything worked, but the screen was blurry with green corners and pillow distortion. I carefully adjusted the focus. Brightness and focus were okay, but the green pillow distortion remained. I thought, "Is it the degaussing resistor?" I removed it and realized it was a simple mistake—the resistor was 14R instead of 18R.

The green pillow distortion disappeared, and the image became clear. But the pillow distortion was still there. Could it be the pillow capacitor? I've seen similar cases before. If the new one isn't working, it might be the main board. But there was something strange around the periphery. Then I noticed that the component was adjustable. I gently turned it, and—haha! The pillow distortion vanished, and the image filled the screen perfectly with great clarity.

I didn’t want to reassemble the case yet and let the TV run for nearly 5 hours. Everything was working smoothly. At this point, the TV was fully repaired!
