**Overview**
The PS-3 series safety touch controller is designed to work with all GREIN safety edges and belt switches, enhancing the overall safety level and ensuring compatibility with control systems. These controllers are available in single or dual versions, offering flexibility for different applications.
**Safety Touch Controller Electrical Wiring Diagram**
The wiring of the safety edge controller can be either 2-wire or 4-wire, depending on the internal configuration of the safety contacts.
- **2-Wire Type**: For manual reset, terminals 4-6 are connected through an indirect 1NO self-reset button. For automatic reset, terminals 4-5 are directly shorted.
- **4-Wire Type**: For manual reset, terminals 4-6 are connected via an indirect 1NO self-reset button. For automatic reset, terminals 4-5 are directly shorted.
**Note**: The 4-wire safety edge can be controlled by multiple controllers in series, making it suitable for larger installations.
**4-Wire Series Connection Method**

**Important Notes**:
- The maximum length of a series connection of safety edges is 60 meters.
- The linking wire can be up to 250 meters long, with a cross-sectional area of 0.35 mm².
**Controller Function Status Indication**
**Additional Information**:
When used alone, the safety edge does not provide full safety functionality. The 2-wire contact includes one normally open (NO) contact, while the 4-wire contact has two NO contacts. Specifically, the red and black wires each form a separate NO contact. This ensures reliable operation when integrated with the PS-3 series controllers.
