**Overview**
The PS-3 series safety touch controller is designed to work with all GREIN safety edges and belt switches, enhancing the overall safety level of the system and ensuring better compatibility with control systems.
**Safety Touch Controller Electrical Wiring Diagram**
The wiring configuration for the safety edge controller can be either 2-wire or 4-wire, depending on the internal design of the safety contacts.
In a 2-wire system (manual reset): terminal 4-6 is connected through an indirect 1NO self-reset button. For automatic reset, terminals 4-5 are directly shorted.
In a 4-wire system (manual reset): similar to the 2-wire setup, terminal 4-6 is connected via an indirect 1NO self-reset button. For automatic reset, terminals 4-5 are also directly shorted.
**Note:** The 4-wire safety edge can be controlled by multiple controllers in series.
**4-Wire Series Connection Method**
For manual reset: terminal 4-6 is connected through an indirect 1NO self-reset button. For automatic reset: terminals 4-5 are directly shorted.
**Important Note:** The maximum length of the series connection of safety edges is 60 meters. The connecting wires can extend up to 250 meters, with a cross-sectional area of 0.35 mm².
**Controller Function Status Indication**
**Note:** When used alone, the safety edge does not provide full safety functionality. In a 2-wire system, there is one normally open (NO) contact, while in a 4-wire system, there are two NO contacts. The red and black wires form separate NO contacts.
