If the touch screen is equipped with an Ethernet port, you can set up a new Modbus Slave/TCP protocol. However, if it doesn't have an Ethernet port, you can use the serial port to create a Modbus Slave protocol instead.

The data from the PLC protocol should be assigned to the newly created variables in the driver using script commands. This assignment can be done periodically through scripting, ensuring that the data flows correctly between the original PLC and the Modbus slave.



When connecting via Ethernet, select "Modbus Slave TCP/IP". For a serial connection, choose "Modbus Slave (RTU)".



After setting up the Modbus Slave, you'll need to define your own variable table. Then, map the variables from the original PLC to the Modbus Slave variables. This mapping can be handled automatically by scripts, which are typically configured in the action settings of example projects.
