The most important feature of Schmitt triggers is the ability to shape slow-changing input signals into steep, rectangular pulses. At the same time, Schmitt triggers can also use their hysteresis voltage to improve the anti-interference ability of the circuit. It consists of a two-stage DC amplifier, as shown in Figure 2-64.

The emitters of the two transistors are connected together. The circuit also has two stable states, but it is triggered by the potential. If it is set to 5V, then when the power supply fluctuates within a small range around 5V, it will cause the detection circuit to keep moving. If you add a Schmitt trigger, you can set a range. For example, if the voltage drops to 4.7V, it will be disconnected, but it will be turned back to 5V to be turned on.

2. It can also be used in the reset circuit.

3. Some are often used for triggering, waveform shaping, filtering, as an inverter, etc.
