12100 LED lights suspected of infringement were seized by the customs

According to Zhongshan Customs, 12100 LED lights with the "AL-TAISAN" logo were seized in accordance with the law, and it was suspected of infringing the exclusive right of the "AL-Taisan" trademark filed by the right holder at the General Administration of Customs. These LED lights were declared and exported by a company in Ningbo on April 17 this year. They have been detained by the customs according to law and the case is under further investigation.

According to the relevant person in charge of Zhongshan Customs, in recent years, Zhongshan Customs has carried out the “Made in China” overseas image to maintain the “Breeze Action”, further strengthened the protection of intellectual property rights in the import and export links, and increased the risk analysis of key import and export commodities and key ports. And supervision, carry out intellectual property protection publicity activities, guide enterprises and individuals in the district to take the initiative to file intellectual property rights with the customs, and use the power of customs administrative law enforcement to counterfeit rights.

According to statistics, in 2016, Zhongshan Customs filed a total of 16 suspected infringement cases involving the investigation and handling of cargo channels, with a value of more than 700 million yuan, a year-on-year increase and a six-fold increase. In August last year, Zhongshan Customs signed a cooperation agreement with China Zhongshan (Lighting) Intellectual Property Rapid Rights Protection Center to establish a cooperation mechanism. Since 2016, Zhongshan enterprises have added 52 new intellectual property rights to the General Administration of Customs.
