Qualcomm will support Glonass navigation on Snapdragon S2, S3 chips

Qualcomm has planned to provide support for 27 Russian GLONASS navigation satellites on the mid-end models S2 and S3 of its Snapdragon mobile processor. Previously, it supported GPS communication with 24 satellites.

Smartphones usually require at least 4 satellites for complete and complete navigation work, and the positioning of the GLONASS satellite can make the search speed faster (because the opportunity is greater) and more accurate, and the accuracy is expected to reach within 6 feet. Another benefit is that more satellites can bring lower power consumption, and mobile phones can lock satellites without much power.
