New video communication engine VCE6467
Texas Instruments (TI) and RADVISION Technology Business Unit (TBU) announced the launch of the video communication engine VCE6467. This low-cost solution can easily implement various two-way real-time high-definition video communication applications such as video conferencing, telemedicine, digital signage and set-top boxes Video communication designers can now fully benefit from integrated video communication solutions, just as a manufacturer provides both a video processor and pre-installed software on the chip. This comprehensive solution reduces the work time normally required for software integration by more than 10 times, thereby significantly accelerating the time to market.
VCE6467 is based on TI DaVinci â„¢ DM6467 video processor and uses H.264 encoding and decoding. Not only is RADVISION's video communication software pre-loaded, but it also supports 30 frames per second of 720p HD video , Which can achieve seamless two-way communication with low latency. Because VCE6467 supports high-definition video and real-time communication and reduces latency, the final video application can achieve almost face-to-face realistic communication without face-to-face communication, which can save unnecessary travel time and costs.
