For express delivery companies, the purchase of new energy vehicles is an option that can be considered. Jingdong began to use drones to deliver more orders. Since entering the 11th, Jingdong drones have been put into operation in places such as Suqian, Xi’an and Beijing. Jingdong CEO Liu Qiang Dong said recently that drones have obtained four provinces' flight permits and planned a large number of routes. However, there are still courier companies with insufficient transportation capacity. Some of them will transfer “two packages” of express mail that has already been contracted to other courier companies. The more is that many courier services have not been collected or stored in distribution centers.

Undoubtedly, the base of domestic express delivery automation is still weak, but automation logistics is a development trend. According to the survey, from 2001 to 2014, the market size of the automated logistics system increased from less than 2 billion yuan to 40 billion yuan, and the annual compound growth rate was 25%. In 2020, the market size of smart logistics industry is expected to reach 140 billion yuan, of which e-commerce express delivery will contribute 80 billion yuan.
