Baidu sues the media "GQ Lab" infringement claims 5 million yuan

According to TechNode, on July 17th, Baidu filed a lawsuit against the media outlet "GQ Lab" after they published an article on their WeChat public account that poked fun at Baidu Maps. In the lawsuit, Baidu is seeking compensation of 5 million yuan and a public apology from the other party for the damage it claims the article caused to its reputation. The controversy began when a reader shared their experience using Baidu Maps to search for a pediatric clinic in Shenzhen. Instead of finding a local facility, the search results directed them to a hospital in Putian, Fujian Province—over 730 kilometers away from their location. Following this incident, GQ Daily published an article titled "Regarding Baidu's Navigation That Leads You to the Putian Department Store, Please Join Us in Calling Out 'Baidu, You've Done It.'" The article invited readers to voice their criticism of Baidu Maps and share their own humorous takes on the issue under the hashtag "#BaiduYou'reDone." Baidu argued that their map service provides essential online mapping, public transit routing, and driving navigation features, which have been widely appreciated by users. They claim that the GQ article has severely harmed their reputation, leading to the legal action. As of now, GQ has not made any public response or withdrawn the article. The case has been accepted by the Haidian District Court in Beijing and is currently undergoing further review. (Compiled by Intern Wang Tian, reviewed by Li Zongze.) In the meantime, this situation has sparked widespread discussion among internet users, with many weighing in on whether the lawsuit is justified or if it reflects overly sensitive corporate behavior. Some argue that Baidu’s decision to sue could be seen as an overreaction, while others believe it highlights the importance of accuracy in digital services. As the legal proceedings continue, the outcome may set a precedent for how tech companies handle similar situations in the future.

Lead Free Piezoelectric Elements

The Co-Al Co-doped Barium Titanate Lead-free Piezoelectric Ceramics was successfully developed by Yuhai company through repeated experiments. By Researching the influence of Co-Al Co-doping on the structure and properties of Barium Titanate-based piezoelectric ceramics, the formulation and preparation technology of Barium Titanate-based piezoelectric ceramics were optimized. Yuhai`s BaTiO3 was prepared by conventional solid-phase sintering method, with the piezoelectric constant d33 (>170pC/N), dielectric loss tgδ≤0.5% and mechanical coupling coefficient Kp≥0.34.

Barium titanate lead-free piezoelectric ceramics are important basic materials for the development of modern science and technology, which was widely used in the manufacture of ultrasonic transducers, underwater acoustic transducers, electroacoustic transducers, ceramic filters, ceramic transformers, ceramic frequency discriminators, high voltage generators, infrared detectors, surface acoustic wave devices, electro-optic devices, ignition and detonation devices, and piezoelectric gyroscope and so on.

Application: military, ocean, fishery, scientific research, mine detection, daily life and other fields.
