2010•LED Illuminates China Tour----National LED Tour Seminar and Industry Research Activity Zhongshan Station Seminar will be held on September 14th in the conference hall on the third floor of Crowne Plaza Hotel, Xiaoxin Town, Zhongshan. The event was jointly sponsored by Gaogong LED, Zhongshan Semiconductor Lighting Industry Association and Zhongshan Semiconductor Lighting Industry Technology Alliance, and was awarded the Zhongshan Science and Technology Bureau, Zhongshan Xiaolan Town People's Government, Guangdong Lighting Association Semiconductor (LED). During the 2010•LED illuminating China tour----National LED roving seminar and industry research activities, Gaogong LED has completed the completion of Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, Shandong, Liaoning, and Shaanxi provinces. The LED industry research in Sichuan and Chongqing has held large-scale industrial seminars in eight cities including Xiamen, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Wuhan, Jinan, Dalian, Xi'an and Chongqing with the support of nine provincial and municipal governments and associations. The seminar attracted more than 500 companies, nearly 1,000 LED-related companies and leaders of government, industry, and research to discuss opportunities and challenges in the LED industry, regional competition and cooperation.

As a strategic emerging industry, Guangdong Zhongshan LED new light source is forming a trend of industrial cluster development. In the tide of rapid heating of LED in China, Zhongshan expects to compete for the right to speak in the industry by controlling technology. At present, the research and development platform invested by Xiaolan Town has been established with Tsinghua University and other universities to provide R&D services. There are more than 500 LED companies in Zhongshan from now to now, and they have turned over several times in just one year. Data show that in 2009, Zhongshan LED output value reached 6.5 billion yuan, according to the plan to achieve an output value of 50 billion yuan by 2012.

It is understood that the Zhongshan Municipal Government has planned to build a Zhongshan LED industrial belt along the Gushen Highway covering Xiaolan, Guzhen, Henglan, Banfu and other towns, forming an LED application industry chain based on LED packaging and LED lighting.

Experts from CREE, Philips Lumileds, Zhenmingli Group, GLII, Zhongjing Kechuang Optoelectronics, CTI China Testing, Xinli Optoelectronics, Zhongke Wanbang Optoelectronics will publish a keynote report on hot topics in the LED industry, with more than 300 in Zhongshan. The LED industry and the traditional lighting industry have conducted in-depth exchanges.
