Dongguan Humen completed more than 5,000 LED street lamp upgrades
Recently, the Municipal Water Affairs Bureau of Humen Town of Dongguan completed the upgrading of more than 5,000 street lamps in the town area. The replaced street lamps are LED lights, saving more than 60% energy compared with traditional street lamps.
Humen Municipal Water Affairs Bureau revealed that the upgrade of 5236 street lights on the municipal roads such as Humen Huandao Road, Sports Road and Education Road has been completed in the near future. Compared with the original high-pressure sodium lamp, the newly installed LED lamp can save about 66% of energy consumption, and the service life is up to 50,000 hours, which is longer than the traditional lamp, which can greatly reduce the frequency of street lamp replacement and achieve energy saving and environmental protection effects.
It is understood that communities such as Daning, Chencun and Xiaojie in Humen Town have also carried out LED street lamp upgrades on some major roads to optimize the overall night landscape of the city.
