Sapphire crystal growth equipment manufacturers "mixed war" is about to start

Xu Yongliang, president of Hong Kong Crest Co., Ltd., said in an interview with Gaogong LED recently that the company's LED sapphire crystal growth furnace has reached more than 300 orders, and the annual shipments are expected to be around 200 units.

According to official news released by Advanced Renewable Energy Company, LLC (ARC Energy) on August 3, ARC Energy has signed a new contract worth $96.9 million with two leading Asian manufacturers. Under the terms of the contract, ARC Energy will provide LED sapphire processing equipment and technology to these two customers, including the highly automated cutting-edge c-axis CHSTM (Controlled Heat Extraction System) furnace and additional turnkey solutions and services.

In July, ARC Energy announced that it has delivered the company's 100th highly automated, cutting-edge c-axis sapphire growth CHES furnace.

Matt Mede, president and CEO of Crystal Growth Equipment and high temperature furnace manufacturer Thermal Technology, also announced that the company has a production capacity of four crystal growth furnaces per week and four units per year.

Earlier, GT Solar's orders in the world, especially in China, were surprising.

In just one year after the acquisition of Crystal Systems, GT Solar's sapphire crystal furnace orders reached $939.6 million, while mainland China customers' orders exceeded $760 million, meaning that all sapphire equipment More than 80% of orders are from mainland China customers.

Undoubtedly, the Chinese market has become the main source of orders for GT Solar sapphire crystal growth furnaces.

In the face of these orders, GT Solar Asia Regional Marketing Director Yao Yunning proudly told the Gaogong LED reporter: "At present, GT Solar is in a monopoly position in the sapphire crystal growth furnace from the market share of orders."
