Cost replaces many traditional LEDs.

Vertical LEDs must be fabricated by soldering GaN semiconductors on low-expansion substrates, but low-expansion materials (such as germanium or GuW) have poor heat dissipation, while high thermal conductivity materials have much higher thermal expansion than GaN (about 5.5). Ppm/mK), so LED experts can't find the ideal bonding material. This article recommends the use of DLC as the interface for diamond and copper composites (diamond heat sinks) to make the world's most advanced vertical LEDs. Therefore, the production capacity of LEDs produced by MOCVD in Taiwan may be excessive in 2011, and it is expected to become an unprofitable Red Sea market. Taiwan urgently needs to develop higher-end products to avoid the revival of DRAM price competition after the financial turmoil (see Table 1 to Table 4).
