Lighting design for the Melkwegbrug bridge in Purmerend, The Netherlands
The project, called Melkwegbrug, is located in Purmerend, the Netherlands, with a bridge span of 66 meters and its architecture is designed by NEXT architects. The huge arch height of the bridge reaches a water level of more than 12 meters, giving people an incredible view of the city. Ascend to the wind and let the pedestrians fully experience the relationship between the present and the history of the city centre of Purmerend.
The designer created a shorter route that provided a high point of view for pedestrians. At 12 meters, the arch is high enough to allow the vessel to split into two parts through the lower lower layer. The edge of the LED light line traverses to the two routes after dark. At the edge of the bridge, the LED line application follows the outline of the bridge, especially the bridge after sunset, decorated with lights, and the scenery is more spectacular.
